Sakamoto Sakamoto loom is an automatic fabric changing loom. The length of the wooden shuttle used in it ranges from 390mm to 430mm (modified type). The standard is the wooden shuttle with a length of 390mm. The outside width of the shuttle is 47mm, the height is 35mm, and the inside width is 31mm. The iron chuck is generally of five grooves, which is fixed by two right angle bolts. The shuttle relies on extrusion to replace the weft tube (silk tube) during use.
Quality requirements for processing wooden shuttles: the compressed wood is hard, the shuttle body is smooth, the surface is smooth and burr free after being polished with high-speed sandpaper tape, and the parts assembled by the shuttle body are tight and appropriate. The above figure shows the basically formed bobbin changing wooden shuttles (most of the weaving machines made abroad are left handpieces).
After assembling the yarn pass (brass or copper plated), the weight of both ends of the shuttle can be balanced. The side of the shuttle used in the automatic bobbin changing loom is equipped with a weft detecting slot, which is mainly used to detect whether there is weft on the bobbin. If there is no weft, the mechanical device will trigger the replacement of the full ear weft tube.

The production process of this kind of silk changing wooden shuttle is complex, and the whole process requires more than 60 processes. At present, the oil immersion process has been canceled in China. The longer the shuttle is, the wider and higher its shape will be, so as to ensure the stability of the shuttle during flight.
