The specifications for plain weave canvas are 59/51, which corresponds to AB specifications.

The steel reed number used is 59-3=56, referred to as A-3; the required pick density is 51-1=50, referred to as B-1;

Reed count = number of gaps within 2 inches， 1 inch = 2.54 cm

Example: Specification 59/51, width 100cm, what is the total number of roots?

The number 5951 indicates 59 warp threads and 51 weft threads on a fabric measuring 1 inch in length and 1 inch in width

100 cm divided by 2.54 equals the number of inches

59X inches = total number of roots

This is a theoretical algorithm! Because errors (shrinkage) may occur during weaving, coding, stretching, and storage
